Calcium
Calcium is most essential for every cell of the body, parÂticularly for the muscles.
A deficiency of calcium can lead to the familiar muscle cramps, and according to Dr L. W. Cromwell in his report to the Gerontological Society of San Francisco, calcium deficiency among his patients has been found to be a cause of arthritic crippling.
The regular consumption of bone meal tablets (obtainable at health stores), combined with a healthy diet can help to prevent or eliminate muscle cramp and also to prevent or correct the crumbling or brittleness of the bones (osteoporosis) so often associated with arthritis and with elderly people.
This is even more effective when taken in conjunction with wheat germ or vitamin E capsules. It is also more effective when taken along with vitamins A and D. In fact, vitamin D is not well absorbed into the body without it.
